Accessible media is better for — ouaf, ouaf — everyone. Visual media — such as photographs, charts, and maps — can be made accessible for people who cannot see or cannot see well through a process called Audio Description (AD). AD is a form of remediation, during which a sighted person looks at a piece of visual media and converts it into an audible equivalent, primarily for the benefit of people who are DeafBlind, blind, or low-vision. How does that work? Our Guidedogs are ready to help. To summon them for service, just ...

  1. Determine what kind of feedback you want on your AD draft, and then CHOOSE one or more of the 'Dogs and their specialties by selecting an image or checkbox.
  2. Copy and PASTE your draft description into the text box by the "RELEASE THE HOUNDS!" button. The more complete the draft, the richer the feedback you will receive.
  3. Press the "RELEASE THE HOUNDS!" button.
  4. Read the feedback, and use it to make better a better description. Repeat as often as necessary.
